| 摘 要： 西汉时期，北疆地处中原王朝和塞外游牧民族的交接地带，经常处于剑拔弩张、烽烟四起的战争状态，当地官吏职责尤为特殊和重要，不仅要理民政，更要担负起保卫边疆的重任，故而朝廷在官吏的任命和选拔上倾向于任用武将治郡。 |

Study on generals’ governance of the Northern Frontier in the Western Han Dynasty: A case study of Bingzhou |

| Abstract: In the Western Han Dynasty, the Northern Frontier which lies between the Central Plains and northern frontier nomads, was often in the war state of daggers drawn and conflict raging. At that time, the duties of the local officials were particularly special and important, which include not only dealing with civil affairs but also shouldering the heavy responsibility of defending the frontier. Therefore, the officials were inclined to assign generals to govern counties. |
