“美在创造中”与“美在意象”——中国当代美学关于“美的本体”的两个重要命题

摘  要: 蒋孔阳的“美在创造中”和叶朗的“美在意象”是中国当代美学关于“美的本体”探讨的两个重要命题。二者都突破了实体性理论思维的局限性,都是将“美”看成是不断生成的而非凝固不变的,所以对人们思考“美的本体”问题颇有启发。但二者的哲学基础并不相同。“美在创造中”注意到美的现象产生的复杂性与多样性,注意到人的精神自由、生命创造、情感心理对美的创造的意义,但由于拘泥于劳动实践的美学观点,忽视了人的生存自由对于美的创造的重要性,所以在解释中存在着种种矛盾。“美在意象”则是在充分审视20世纪以来西方哲学与美学思维转向和中国美学界长期占主导地位的主客二分思维模式的理论缺陷的基础上进行,凸显了美对人的生存活动的意义,所以更有助于中国当代美的本体问题的理论思考和思维转换。

“Beauty can only be found in creation” and “beauty is image”

Abstract: In the modern Chinese aesthetics, Jiang Kong-yang’s “beauty can only be found in creation” and Ye Lang’s “beauty is image” are two important propositions which discuss the ontology of beauty. Both of them break through the limitations of the substantive theory of thinking, that is the “beauty” as continuously generated rather than solidification constant. Therefore, It’s enlightening people to think about the “essence of beauty”. But the two are not the same philosophical foundation. “Beauty can only be found in creation” noted of the complexity and diversity in beauty phenomenon, noted the significance of creative beauty with the freedom of human spirit, the creation of life, the meaning of the emotional psychology. However, due to rigidly adhering to the point of the labor practical aesthetics, it ignores the importance of human’s freedom survival in beauty’s creation, so there are all sorts of contradictions in the interpretation. The point of “beauty is image” is based on the full survey of thought transformation of western philosophy and esthetics since the 20th century and the theoretical defect of subject-object binary opposition that occupied predominant position in Chinese aesthetics. It highlights the significance of beauty for human activity, and plays an important role in theoretical thinking and thought transformation of the ontology of beauty in the modern Chinese aesthetics.
