《孙子兵法》英译本的历时性描写研究 |

| 摘 要： 霍姆斯与图里建立的描写翻译学理论，将翻译置于历史文化背景下进行研究，不仅拓宽了翻译研究的范围，也为典籍英译的研究提供了崭新的视角。从历时性角度考察典籍英译，全面客观地描述不同历史条件下产生的同一原著的不同译本、译者的策略以及影响翻译过程的社会历史文化因素等翻译现象，能够促使我们对翻译有更深的理解和正确的定位。自1905年第一部《孙子兵法》英译本问世至今，百余年间共出现三十余种译本。按历史阶段对《孙子兵法》的重要译者及优秀译本进行分析，总结各阶段译本的主要共性，探讨影响翻译的社会文化历史因素及译本产生的影响，是运用描写翻译学理论对典籍英译进行研究的积极尝试。 |

| Abstract: Established by J. Holmes and G. Toury, descriptive translation studies puts translation in a cultural and historical context, which not only broadens the horizon of translation studies, but provides new perspective for the study of translation of Chinese classics. Diachronic description of translations of Chinese classics is an effective approach in describing translation phenomena and investigating the nature of translation. Since Sun Zi Bing Fa was translated into English for the first time in 1905, there have been more than 30 versions to date. It is a positive attempt to provide a comprehensive account of the translation of Sun Zi Bing Fa into English by using the diachronic descriptive approach. |
