Strategies and methods of translating English sentences with

| Abstract: Previous studies in translating English sentences with inanimate subjects into Chinese are mostly guided by the domestication strategy and chiefly explore effective liberal translating methods. This paper, however, aims to discuss the feasibility and limitations of literal translating methods under the guidance of the foreignization strategy through two case studies in the form of questionnaire and translation analysis. |
