Abstract: The essence of the doctrine of Xie-Ju (the measurement of Confucian moral rule) is the legal measurement formed after cautious and thoughtful measuring and maintained in governing the state and ruling the people. Its fundamental spirit is that the one who governs the state must take his own authentic likes and dislikes as the basic starting point, connect his personal natural emotions with those of his families, country people and global citizens to form rational principles for conduct, and hence move the populace and implement politics and beliefs accordingly. As a result, the governance by the doctrine of Xie-Ju acquires such properties as subjective autonomy, impartiality and overall concordance. This theory points out the essence of political governance, makes up for the deficiency of western governance model based on scientific thinking, and provides reflections and remedy for modern political governance. |
