| 摘 要： 中国传统数学确实具有实用性特点。但中国传统文化并不是实用主义而是实践主义，它虽然关注现实世界，但最终落脚点还是超越性的诉求。实用诉求与文化诉求是数学发展的两种重要的外在力量。由于中国传统数学不能关联于中国传统文化的超越性诉求，其发展动力只能诉求于实用性，从而使之表现出实用性特征。 |

Pragmatism or transcendency: Chinese traditional mathematics and its culture |

| Abstract: Chinese Traditional Mathematics really has the features of practicability. Chinese culture, however, is practicism, instead of pragmatism. Although Chinese culture emphasizes the real-life world, the ultimate concern is still transcend the life world. To benefit our practice or culture is two important impetuses to the development of mathematics. In Chinese traditional culture, the mathematics can’t be regarded as a force to accelerate the moral level, and it can only get its impetus from practicability.
