共同治理视域下教授治校的当代阐释

摘  要: 教授治校作为学者行会自治传统,已经脱离了中世纪大学的历史语境,开始从单纯的学者自治走向多方参与的学术共治模式。共同治理格局的形成是大学适应学术环境变化的必然结果,也是当前教授治校的发展趋向和出路选择。共同治理视域下教授治校要求教授作为重要利益相关者参与大学治理,注重基于各方能力基础上的分工协作,突出决策的公共性与协商性,从权力制衡走向权力合作。教授治校需要在治理制度、治理组织和治理文化上进行重构,只有置于共同治理框架中,教授治校的当代意义才能获得新的逻辑内涵和实践基础。

The contemporary interpretation of Faculty Governancein the view of shared governance

Abstract: Faculty Governance, as a tradition of academic autonomy in the west, has broken away from the historical context of the medieval time, beginning to shift from pure academic autonomy to a shared model with the multi-participations. The formation of shared governance is the result of adaptation of university to social environment and points the tendency and future of Faculty Governance. Faculty Governance under shared governance involves professors in university governance as key stakeholders, emphasizes the coordination based on capability of each side, focuses on the publicity and negotiability, and changes the paradigm from power balance into power collaboration. Faculty Governance should be reconstructed in terms of governance institution, governance organization and governance culture. Only when Faculty Governance is placed in the framework of shared governance, can its modern significance retain new logic and practical foundation.
