当代大学生公共精神培育刍议

摘  要: 公共精神是指公民个体或社群在现代公共生活形态中所具有的超越自身狭隘眼界和直接功利目的,以全体公民和社会整体的生存和发展为依归的价值取向,关怀公共事务、事业和利益的思想境界和行为态度。在当前中国的经济社会转型期,加强公共精神的培育既是坚定马克思主义社会理想、重建民族精神的需要,也是提高公民素质、促进思想政治教育现代转型的需要。青年大学生作为公共精神培育的重要人群,却普遍存在公民知识不足、公民技能缺乏、公民品性有待修炼等问题。培养当代大学生的公共精神,应着力促进自觉反思,提高学生的道德认知能力;激发问题意识,厘清学生的公共价值观念;加强多元整合,促进学生的公共精神建构;拓宽公共空间,加强学生的民主实践锻炼。

Public spirit cultivation of contemporary college students

Abstract: Public spirit refers to a mental stature and behavior attitude of individual citizens or community in modern public life, which can transcend their narrow horizon and direct utilitarian purpose, thus having a value orientation for survival and development of all citizens and society as a whole. The students also care for the interests of the public affairs, public utility and public interests. In the current economic and social transition period, to strengthen and foster Chinese public spirit is both the needs of firming Marxist social ideals, reconstructing the national spirit, and also the needs of improving the quality of citizens, promoting the modern transformation of ideological and political education. As an important population of public spirit cultivation, young college students are widely lack of civic knowledge, civic skills, citizen qualities, and so on. From the perspective of Philosophy Hermeneutics, this paper attempts to propose educational countermeasures from the following four stages: broadening the horizon, starting a conversation, fusing the view and externalizing the practice. It also points out that we should promote the conscious reflection to improve the moral cognitive ability of students, stimulate question consciousness to clarify students’ public values, strengthen the integration of multiple to construct the public spirit, and broaden public space to strengthen students’ democratic practice.
