——黄继忠《论语》英译的策略选择 |

| 摘 要： 黄继忠于1983年受邀至美国讲授《论语》，在此后近20年去国离乡的日子里黄继忠相继翻译了《论语》《道德经》等中文典籍。透过其《论语》英译本，可以看到译者文化身份对译本形成的影响以及作为华人译者的黄继忠在其译本中坚持选择“直译”翻译策略的原因。文章尝试从文化身份建构视角探讨离散经历对黄继忠《论语》英译本形成的影响：基于海外华人译者共有的离散经历，黄继忠译本呈现出华人译者译本的共性因子；其次，从黄继忠个人文化身份诉求出发，探讨“直译”翻译策略所带来的个性译文。 |

| Abstract: Chichung Huang went to America under the invitation of teaching The Analects in 1983. And during his 20 years diasporic experience in America he had done translations of The Analects of Confucius and Tao Te Ching. Through his English versions, we can see the influence of translator’s identity on the formation of his translation versions as well as the reason why Chichung Huang adheres to “literal translation” strategy in his translation. This paper discusses Chichung Huang’s translation of The Analects of Confucius from the perspective of cultural identity. First, it analyzed the collective factors of Chichung Huang’s cultural identity based on his diasporic experience. Next, with the analysis of Chichung Huang’s literal translation strategy, this paper explores the translator’s cultural identification process. |
