Based on the comparison of the male’s body narration to the female’s about the metaphor in the disease of pulmonary tuberculosis, we can find that metaphor in the disease of pulmonary tuberculosis constructs sexual cultural identity, and sexual politic has all sorts of authoritative trace on feminine body. Gender, taken as the important cultural symbol in the symbolic society system, constructs and reads the disease metaphor. As a result of the narrator’s sexual difference, the identical disease which was suffered by both the male and female, can obtain the different metaphor connotation. The identical disease that happens to the feminine, can also obtain the different metaphor function.
