--转喻视角下辜鸿铭英译《论语》策略研究 |

| 摘 要： 作为五四前中国儒家经典英译第一人，辜鸿铭的英译活动致力于通过翻译改变西方社会对中国的成见、提升中国文化地位。文章从“文化适应”“文化共核”“文化缺省”三方面出发，通过转喻视角审视辜鸿铭《论语》英译过程中出现的有意改写，着重分析特定社会历史语境下译者为彰显民族文化所做的翻译策略选择，并探讨译者所采用策略之于民族文化传播的效果，以期为辜鸿铭儒家经典英译活动寻找公允的历史定位。 |

Revelation of National Culture

| Abstract: Ku Hungming devoted himself to a mission of promoting the image of Chinese culture with his efforts in translating The Discourse & Sayings of Confucius. Adopting his English translation version as an exemplar, this paper elaborates on Ku’s translation strategies in specific historic-cultural context. Functioning as the subject of translation, Ku marked his translation version with “acculturation” “cultural common core”, and “cultural default.” It is a positive attempt to give a justifiable position for Ku’s translation activity. |
