京剧《党人碑》悲剧性之辨析

摘  要: 一般认为王国维是最早用悲剧观念进行中国戏剧研究的学者。但从广义来看,运用悲剧观念考察中国戏剧,却由蒋观云、欧榘甲首开风气。1903年到1905年间,他们二人先后关注过同一部作品--首演于1901年、由汪笑侬改编的京剧《党人碑》,并评定其为悲剧。这种评价背后的意义是:蒋观云、欧榘甲所理解的“悲剧”与汪笑侬改编版《党人碑》的某些诉求视域交融,促成这一桩汉语语境较早的悲剧审美判断。但这种审美判断却隐含了强烈的时代政治因素。辨析之后不难发现,这种对“悲剧”的推崇,实质是对革命的推崇。

A Study on Tragic Nature of Peking Opera Dang Ren Bei

Abstract: Wang Guo-wei is generally considered as the first Chinese scholar who studied Chinese drama with the opinion tragedy. However, Jiang Guan-yun and Ou Ju-jia tried the research earlier than Wang Guo-wei. Between 1903 and 1904, they focused on the same work adapted by Wang Xiao-nong called Dang Ren Bei, which they judged to be tragedy. It can be inferred that something in Dang Ren Bei met their definition of tragedy, which can be considered a, s an early study of Chinese tragedy by Chinese scholar. However, this kind of judgment is strongly affected by political factors. The purpose of introducing tragedy into China is to introduce revolution into China.
