| 摘 要： 美国当代著名小说家欧茨以暴力书写及多产而闻名。从悲剧入手，探讨了欧茨童年经历对其暴力与悲剧文学创作的影响，并分别从悲剧的两个层面分析欧茨对暴力的书写。用暴力这一媒介创作的悲剧，体现了作家对人类悲剧式存在的关注、对个体激情、生命本能的讴歌以及对人类美好未来的希望。 |

Violence and Oates’s Tragic Writing |

| Abstract: Joyce Carol Oates, one of the most famous contemporary novelists in America, is well-known for her prolificacy and writing of violence. This paper probes the influence of Oates’s childhood experience on her such writing indulgence from the perspective of tragedy and analyzes her violence writing from two levels of tragedy. This paper concludes that Oates’s interest in violence reflects her concern of the tragic existence of mankind, her eulogy of passion and human nature and her hope for a better future. |
