A New Study on the Creation Intention of Tai Ping Guang Ji |

| Abstract: There are two main views relating to the editing of Tai Ping Guang Ji, differing from the intention was to eliminate the previous generation of scholars of the resentment or for recreation, are the two main views. The study of cultural context in the Song Dynasty will find that Song Taizong command editing Tai Ping Guang Ji had hidden his important political intent: “worshiping ghosts to educate and deceive people”, and this choice demonstrates that the legitimacy of the regime and Dynasty are closely related. |
