| Abstract: The relief policy of Late Qing in Hunan Province mainly inherited the traditions of previous dynasties,chiefly including suchmeasures as the urgentrelief,the exemption and postponementoftaxes,the sales ofgrain inganaries atfair prices in years of famine,the labor for food relief,disaster relief,which,to some extent,contributed to the relief of the starving people. |
