Abstract: Wang Wei put forward his aesthetic concept of "Adopting images in accordance with feelings" (“Ning Qing Qu Xiang, Wei Ya Ze Tong”, which represents not only his viewpoint of calligraphy and painting, but also his poetic proposition, the embodiment of the unity of his view of poetry and painting. Under the guidance of this concept, the creation and style of his calligraphy, painting and poetry also show such integration, which is further manifested in great detail in the combination of portraits and poetic images under the influence of the thinking mode of adopting images as well as the combination of poetic feelings and meanings conveyed by paintings under the guidance of the view of YaZheng. It can be said that Wang Wei, by integrating his own viewpoint of poetry and painting with his creation of poetry and painting,  achieved the essential realization between the spiritual connotation and the artistic form of poetry and painting, hence acquiring the integration in both theory and practice. This idea not only involves Wang Wei's views on creation and style, but also exerts certain influence on the views on poetry and painting of later generations.
