| 摘 要： 二十世纪七十年代翻译研究出现文化转向以来，译者的主观能动性作用逐渐凸显，对翻译主体--翻译家的研究成为翻译研究的新领域。作为“几乎翻译了整个中国”的翻译家，杨宪益的翻译成就有目共睹。然而，由于他长期沉浸于翻译实践，鲜有谈及对翻译的看法与见解，学界对他的研究主要围绕其大量英汉、汉英翻译作品批评展开，尤其集中于《红楼梦》英译及鲁迅系列作品英译，较少有对他翻译思想的深层次、全面挖掘。为此，以杨宪益的诗人身份为突破口，从形式和内容两方面来探讨其诗歌创作与诗歌翻译之间的关系，得出关于诗歌翻译与创作的启示，拓展杨宪益翻译思想研究的现实维度，为当代文学翻译人才培养提供借鉴。 |

On Yang Hsien-yi’s Poetry Writing and Translation |

| Abstract: As a most distinguished translator in the 20th century, Yang Hsien-yi, together with his wife Gladys Yang, has translated many Chinese classics into English and so to accomplish remarkable achievements. However, since he has put more emphasis on translation practice rather than relevant theoretical research, the apotheosis of his translation ideas seems to draw far less than adequate attention. Studies of Yang Hsien-yi in the academic circle have up to now focused mainly on his numerous translations, yet comparatively much fewer efforts have been made to dig out his translation thoughts. Therefore, this paper labors to describe a rather new picture of Yang Hsien-yi as a poet, so as to explore the relationship between his poetry writing and poetry translation. The present authors thus wish to make their own efforts in the overall academic research about Yang Hsien-yi as a translator, and if possible, to shed light upon poetry translation. |
