| Abstract: Zeng Guofan was the last scholar who gave concentrated expression to confucianism. Although there were many negative factors in his thinking, “theory is applied to practice”, “Chinese traditional culture is fundamental” and “modern western culture is applied to practice” had a positive effect on the process of Chinese modernization objectively in his time. |
